Project Introduction
FIREFLIES addresses biodiversity restoration and ecosystem resilience in European agricultural landscapes in the context of the EU Nature Restoration Regulation.
Context
Across five pilot regions, farmers, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders work together to identify and test restoration practices that combine ecological benefits with viable agricultural production.
QUYFIN's Role
Within FIREFLIES, QUYFIN conducts biodiversity assessments in Greek agricultural systems, contributes biodiversity baseline data for the Peloponnese aligned with Nature Restoration Regulation monitoring needs, and works with The Southern Lights and Impact Hub Athens to engage farmers in monitoring and restoration activities.
